Philanthropy
A major purpose of the Club is to help needy women and children both internationally and locally. Every year the club organizes charity events. The IWC´s charity events receive kind and generous support from members, embassies and many companies both Swedish and international. The benefiting charities are carefully chosen by the IWC’s Executive Board.

Jontefonden
IWC Stockholm supported Jontefonden during one entire Club year. We raised funds at events, held a fund-raising auction at our 65th anniversary gala and raised awareness of this organisations fabulous work amoung our members, families and friends. The amount raised was handed over to Jontefonden at our April luncheon.

GAPF
The IWC raised money in donation/lottery at the monthly luncheon and via Social Activities Cooking group.
Gapf also set up and manage their own information table at the luncheon, where they were able to spread awareness through informative conversations, membership campaign and/or donations.

Operation Smile
The IWC ran a lottery for the benefit of Operation Smile Sweden to support life-changing surgeries for children. Contributions were raised from lottery and donations. Our guest speaker was Dr. Björn Schönmyr who himself was a volunteer-doctor of the Swedish operating team in their missions in various countries.

Royal Swedish Opera’s Instrument Appeal
The IWC raised donations for the Royal Swedish Opera’s Instrument Appeal. This appeal aims to maintain the instruments of its in-house Orchestra in top world-class quality, befitting its status as one of the oldest orchestras in the world, founded in 1526 by King Gustav Vasa. It was an opportunity to join the world in celebrating International Women’s Day, emphasizing our focus on gender equality and cultural enrichment.
2022-2023

Child10
IWC successfully raise donations through different activities. Apart from raising donations at every Club event, there was a special Christmas raffle sponsored by the company Plivit. Plivit has generously donated 100 gift boxes, allowing us to give a prize for each ticket sold. We also had two special prizes generously donated by our member Zete Lundin.
IWC organised an inspiring after-work event for Child10 at the Blique by Nobis hotel with speakers Sara Damber and Yohanna Mannelqvist. As the co-founder and Chair, Sara shared with us the story about founding Child10 and the importance of their work for children. Yohanna, women's wellness coach, held an inspiring workshop “Review & Renew”.

Kvinna till Kvinna`s Emergency
IWC member Charlotta Huldt together with several Ukrainian artists performed a classical music by famous Scandinavian and Ukrainian composers.
As a women’s club, IWC decided to donate all proceeds to the Kvinna till Kvinna`s Emergency Fund for Ukraine. It provides emergency support to women's rights organisations and women's rights activists in and from Ukraine in their work to help women exposed to violence, displaced women, and families in need of immediate support.
