The International Women's Club of Stockholm (IWC)

was founded in 1961 by ten friends new to Sweden. We are purely a social club with the motto Friendship and Goodwill To All. We have no religious, political or commercial affiliations and aim to create a peaceful and harmonious forum for its members and everyone who joins our activities. We bring together women of all ages and nationalities living in Stockholm and its surrounding areas.

What Do We Do?

Our Club has three main objectives

Friendship

Holding Hands

To welcome and assist newcomers and their families in Stockholm

The Club's primary purpose is to welcome newcomers to Stockholm and provide them with a platform for connecting and creating networks among the foreign and local communities.

To further our knowledge and understanding of Stockholm and Sweden

Through our organized tours and museum visits we have fun exploring Stockholm and getting to know and hopefully understand Swedish culture.

To provide financial support to philanthropic projects

Another purpose of the Club is helping the needy whenever we can, both internationally and locally. Every year the Club organizes charity fundraising events for charities that have been carefully selected by the IWC's Executive Board.
