August Strindberg (1849-1912) spent the last four years of his life in this building, he called it “The Blue Tower”. August Strindberg lived here 1908-1912. He moved 24 times in Stockholm! Get to know August Strindberg. He was a prolific Playwright and Novelist (1849-1912), Painter, Anarchist, Photographer, Pacifist and Social critic, Alchemist and Naturalist. He was central in Swedish literature and internationally known.
